The 'death nail' of journalism at PR Week

I love malapropisms; the distressed art of mangling language provides huge entertainment. As a practising PR, I’m a user of HARO (Help A Reporter Out). In what possibly signals the ‘death knell’ of lexical choice, a PR Week journo has issued a HARO call out asking: “Has legislation been the death nail of corporate hospitality?

I once heard of someone who responded to a request saying “I have to subside (they meant decline). As an occasional language mangler myself, I wonder what’s your favourite malapropism?
