Here’s a precis of the story; basically in ‘blind street tests’ consumers couldnt tell the difference in taste between tap and bottled; I know I can’t.
For those who’ve read ‘Public Relations Disasters’ and recall the PR gaffe over Coca Cola’s Dasani bottled water (plain old contaminated Thames tap water marketed slickly and sold at exhorbitant prices), ACA (Ch 9 EST 6.30pm) promised a similar expose for an Aussie retail water brand. Stay tuned for widespread consumer outrage, tho at least the brand PRs will have plenty of stuff on hand to douse the flames of disaster.
